Aleix Martinez (Barcelona , 1992 ) debut as a choreographer was in 2012 with "Trencadis" a work created for the Hamburg Shauspielhaus ,with which he received the "Tanz" award, in the category of "Young Talent".
Martinez work , is based on the artistic research, development and creation of new ways of expression and communication,exploring the capacities of interactions between different ranges of visual arts and artist.
Since then, he has been working independently with numerous venues, festivals and social projects , creating " Le surrealisme c'est moi " ( 2014 ) , for the Sant Pere de Rodes Festival, " Origens " ( 2015 ) , for the Gong Festival or "For 2 ", ( 2018 ) , for the Bielefed Festival.
In 2016 , he started an artistic residency with the Trintla Cultura Festival , where he developed new works as "Mediterraneo" , ( 2016 ) , " Colors " ( 2017 ) and " Evolution " ( 2018 ) , as well as an Artistic-Social collaboration with the Project " Salon Kleiner Michel " in Hamburg.
As part of the artists of the Hamburg Staatsoper, he created " Soledad en compañía" ( 2015 ),"Kleines Requiem ( 2016), "... _ _ _ / S.O.S " ( 2017 ) " Dogma" ( 2018 )
In 2018 he founded " ManNera " , a platform that will help developing his artistic vision and concept, giving a solid base for the research and creation ." Lorca " the first work produced by ManNera, was premiered in Barcelona as part of the program "Horitzons".
For the " International Draft Works " he created Seelen Spiel a commission by the Hamburg Ballet as part of the opening program for the new venue in London, The Limbury Theater.
" Shakespeare Sonnets " a commision work for the Hamburg Ballett, was premiered in Juni 2019 , opening the 45 edition of the anual festival " Hamburger Ballett Tage ".
Since 2020, he started and artistic residency with the Foundation Pool-Haus / Hamburg, allowing himself and the formation to develop new works and concepts.
" Bunker", consist on a trilogy in collaboration between the Hamburg Kunsthalle, The Tapies Foundation ( Barcelona ) and the PoolHaus Foundation ( Hamburg ).
In July 2022 he presented "Pols " , a commission for the Festival Franquesa, a dance platform that wants to incourage the creative exploration of new contemporary productions driven by the integration and research of the traditional roots.
" The Wanderers " , his lastest work , was a commission for the PoolHaus Foundation - Blankenese , in collaboration with the visual artist Jessica Halm.

El concepto de creación de Martínez , esta basado en la investigación artística, el desarrollo y la creación de nuevas formas de expresión y comunicación, explorando las capacidades de interacción entre diferentes artes visuales y artistas.
Desde entonces, ha trabajado de forma independiente con numerosos espacios, festivales y proyectos sociales, creando "Le surrealisme c'est moi" (2014), para el Festival de Sant Pere de Rodes, "Origens" (2015), para el Festival Gong o "For 2", (2018), para el Festival de Bielefed.
En 2016, empieza una residencia artística con el Festival Trintla Cultura, creando "Mediterraneo", (2016), "Colores" (2017) y "Evolución" (2018), y colabora anualmente en el proyecto artístico-social "Salon Kleiner Michel ".
Como parte de los artistas de la Hamburg Staatsoper, crea "Soledad en compañía" (2015), "Kleines Requiem " (2016), " ... _ _ _ / S.O.S "(2017), " Dogma "(2018).
En 2018 funda "ManNera", plataforma con la que desarrolla su visión y concepto artístico, dotando de una solida base para la investigación y creación, promoviendo las colaboraciones entre diferentes artistas, festivales y espacios. " Lorca " , el primer trabajo producido por ManNera fue estrenado en Barcelona.
Para el " International Draft Works " presenta " Seelen Spiel" una comisión del Ballet de Hamburgo para la apertura del nuevo espacio escenico Londinense Limbury Theater.
"Shakespeare Sonnets " , una comisión para el Hamburg Ballett, fue estrenado en el 2019 abriendo la 45º edición del Festival " Hamburger Ballett Tage " en la Opera Estatal de Hamburgo.
A partir del 2020, empieza una residencia artística con la Fundación PoolHaus Blankenese - Hamburg, institución para la cual desarrolla y presenta nuevos trabajos artísticos , estrenando en diciembre del 2021 " Bunker ".
